Welcoming the New CIS Alumni Executive Board

We are thrilled to introduce the newest members of our Alumni Executive Board, a dynamic group of leaders who will work closely with our Alumni team to share their insights, and plan, and lead Communities In Schools (CIS) Alumni Family events. Their dedication to the CIS mission and their communities makes them invaluable to our Alumni work. These individuals embody the spirit of CIS, and we’re excited to have them on board!

Meet the Team

Thomas Vargas | Role: Alumni Executive Council President
2017, Rancho High School Graduate

About: Thomas Vargas graduated from Rancho High School in 2017 and has since made a tremendous impact by organizing campaigns and relief grants for food and farm workers across the nation. Most recently, he served as an OSH Specialist for Arriba Las Vegas Worker Center. Thomas joined the Council out of a passion for strengthening his community and fostering change. As President, he will guide the Council and work collaboratively with all members to ensure meaningful results.

Ariel “Chachi” Tucker | Role: Alumni Executive Council Vice President
2024, Chaparral High School Graduate

About: Ariel Tucker, known as “Chachi,” is a 2024 graduate of Chaparral High School and currently works as a behavioral health technician at a wellness center. She joined the Council to demonstrate how you can grow with Communities In Schools. Ariel’s role as Vice President includes working closely with the Chair of Events & Engagement and stepping into the President’s responsibilities if needed. In the future, Ariel aspires to become a real estate agent and complete esthetician school. Her hobbies include skincare, dancing, and skating.

Suzie Jackson | Role: Alumni Executive Council Secretary
2023, Clark High School Graduate

About: A proud graduate of Clark High School, Suzie Jackson is currently a sophomore at UNLV studying Fine Arts in Film. Suzie dreams of becoming a film producer and was inspired to join the Council after encouragement from a former member. As Secretary, she will keep detailed records of the organization and create agendas for AEC meetings. Suzie enjoys reading, dancing, and bookbinding in her free time.

Ashley Perez | Role: Alumni Executive Council Chair of Events & Engagement
2022, Rancho High School Graduate

About: Ashley Perez, a Rancho High School alumna, is now a sophomore at CSN studying social work while working as a Medical Assistant. Ashley joined the Council to stay connected with CIS and take on a leadership role. As Chair of Events & Engagement, she will spearhead social events that foster networking and team building and lead one major Alumni event this year with the support of the Council.

Kaylee Main-Gomez | Role: Alumni Executive Council Chair of Community Outreach
2020, Sunrise Mountain High School Graduate

About: Kaylee Main-Gomez graduated from Sunrise Mountain High School in 2020 and is pursuing her nursing degree at Arizona College of Nursing. Inspired by the contributions of past Council members, Kaylee is passionate about giving back to the Alumni community. As Chair of Community Outreach, she will lead volunteer projects and build partnerships with local organizations. Kaylee enjoys spending time with friends, family, and crocheting.

Camila Galvan Maldonado | Role: Alumni Executive Council Historian
2023, Valley High School Graduate

About: Camila Galvan Maldonado is a 2023 graduate of Valley High School and is majoring in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing at CSN. With firsthand experience of the support offered by the Alumni program, Camila is eager to document the accomplishments of the CIS Alumni Family as Historian. She looks forward to contributing to the growth of the Alumni Program.
