Partner With Us

“It takes a village to raise a child” is a proverb that conveys the Communities In Schools approach.  CIS of Nevada works with our more than 120 thoughtful partners in every sector to close the opportunity gaps for our students – from businesses, other nonprofits, to individuals, advocates, government agencies and faith-based organizations.

We are proud of our partnerships and the people behind them who show up for our students. Our Integrated Student Support model empowers our students to realize their potential.

If you have a partnership in mind that will further uplift our students, we’d love to hear from you.

Coordinators Who Really Care

“When Maria learned a student’s mother had been laid off and food was running low in the household, she knew one thing might cheer him up — a box of his favorite food. So Ruiz, a site coordinator in Elko, stopped at a gas station for some food and scrawled a handwritten note: “Hey, buddy. I’m here for you. I’m thinking about you. I think you’re wonderful and this is going to go by fast.”
