Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada (CIS), participated in “Shaq-to-School” on Friday, July 8 at Rancho High School. The program is made possible by The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation, which helps underserved youth achieve their full potential and was founded by Shaquille O’Neal, a member of the national board of directors of Communities In Schools.
The invite-only ticketed event was exclusive to students from varying socio-economic backgrounds who work with CIS site coordinators across the organization’s 69 Clark County School District schools. More than 450 students from various high schools will have the opportunity to build and customize Shaq-packs, backpacks filled with school supplies for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.
